A S Doub, 70, Retired Farmer


Aldine Spease Doub, 70, retired farmer, died at his home, 66 Carter Circle, at 8:50pm yesterday after a serious illness of six months. He had been in declining health for the past three years.


Born June 17, 1881, in Pfafftown, Mr Doub was the son of Olin and Isabel Speas Doub. He spent the greater part of his life at Pfafftown and moved to Winston-Salem about three years ago. He was a member of the Pfafftown Christian Church.


He married May 24, 1906 to Miss Margaret Lineback who survives. Other survivors are two sons, Nelson and Talmadge Doub of Winston-Salem; two daughters, Mrs D A Smith of Winston-Salem and Mrs Ray Johnson of East Bend; one brother, L L Doub of Pfafftown, Route 1, and one sister, Mrs Minnie Motsinger of Pfafftown, Route 1.


Funeral arrangements were incomplete last night.
