Elsie Hageman, age 94 of Wahoo, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at the Saunders House in Wahoo.

She was born January 12, 1912 at Ithaca to Fred and Anna (Nenstiel) Hageman. She grew up on the family farm and attended school at District #102 in Ithaca. She graduated from Midland Lutheran College in Fremont and worked as an Elementary School Teacher in Nebraska for 35 years. Elsie loved reading books about Nebraska and traveling throughout the state. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by nieces and nephews Boyd Hageman of Lincoln, Duane Hageman of Ithaca, Dwight Hageman of Newburg, OR, Gwen Dale of Chicago, IL and Roland Ebert of Texas; great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2006 at the Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Smith officiating. Interment will be at Indian Mound Cemetery in Ithaca. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Wahoo.
