SAMUEL SHAEFFER
Samuel Shaeffer Sr. 83, of 336 Chestnut street, father of Mrs. Vivian Lohrengel, 52, of Toledo, killed in an automobile accident last Thursday, died at his home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday of an apparent heart attack. Double funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Dawson Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Arthur E. Evans. Burial of the father and daughter will be in South Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
Mr. Shaffer was a blacksmith more than 50 years, having retired about three years ago. Born October 23 1883, in Coshocton, he was a son of Samuel and Mary Tubbs Schaffer. He married October 3, 1913, to Addie V. Wable, who survives.
Surviving besides the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Elata Faye Spires of Columbus; two sons, Samuel Jr., of Chicago and Orlan of Coshocton Route 5; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Four brothers and two sisters are deceased.
