Orson Hyde Mower, 82, retired farmer and pioneer of Springville, died late Wednesday at the home of his son, Percy A. Mower in Springville.

Mr. Mower, was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, November 29, 1849, and came to Utah with his parents in 1859. He had, resided in Springville for more than 50 years. He was an active member of the L D.S. church.

Surviving are seven sons and daughters as follows: Jerald L. Mower, Mrs. Fannie Singleton, American Fork; Mrs. Clara Peterson, Salt Lake; Mrs. Pearl Butler, Kellogg, Idaho; Orson H. Mower, Los Angeles; Clarence L. Mower, Compton, Calif.; Percy Mower, Springville.

He also leaves 22 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother, Oscar M. Mower, and one sister, Mrs. Eliza Singleton of Springville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at l o'clock in the Springville First; ward chapel. The body may be viewed at the Claudin Funeral home prior to the services.

Interment will be in the Evergreen cemetery.
