Funeral services for Reverend Marvin "Bob" Cooper, 80, of Conroe, will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at New Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Kruger, the Rev. Randy Johnson and the Rev. Corbey Jones officiating. Interment to follow at New Bethlehem Cemetery with Metcalf Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be 10 till 9 p.m. with family receiving friends 6 - 9 p.m., Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at Metcalf Funeral Home. Reverend Cooper was born Aug. 7, 1922, in Montgomery County, Texas to Elbert and Eva Cooper. He passed away in Conroe, Texas on Dec. 13, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, He was a Baptist minister for 50 years and Pastor of Grace Baptist Church for 26 years. Music to be played at the service was written and composed by Bob. His music was inspired by the Holy Spirit in the middle of the night and many of these songs are being played on Christian Radio. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Bryarly, Dr. Carwile, the Crown of Texas Hospice and their staff. "Dad, we Thank You for your example of love for Christ and love for each other. Your funny stories, sayings, and jokes will be passed on to future generations. Give the angels a break with your funnies. They've got a lot of singing to do. You commented one day because of your love for food, " I'm ready to go and eat angel food. " Enjoy... it's calorie free! We love you and miss you, but look forward to joining you "on the other side" your loving wife and children."
