ROSS
Funeral service for Wosker R. ROSS, 67 year old resident of Watts, was held Sunday, 2:00 p.m. in the Roberts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Howard DANIELS and the Rev. Ted TURNER, of Watts, officiating. The LACIE family, accompanied by Mrs. Hazel LADD, provided the music.
ROSS was born May 29, 1896 in Dallas, Texas, and died Thursday in the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.
In 1900 he moved with his parents, Wosker L. and Elizabeth (Crow) Ross, to Oklahoma and was a resident of the Westville-Watts vicinity for the past 63 years.
He was a veteran of World War 1, having served four years with the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Lee; six sons, J.W. of Houston, Texas, Jerry of Eugene, Oregon, Sheridan of Linden, Texas, Darrel of Corvallis, Oregon, Dale and Eugene of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Zella HIPLEY, Odessa, Texas, Mrs. Willodene HCAKNEYof San Jose, Calif., Mrs. Madeline FAIN of Tulsa, Mrs. JoAnn MULLIN of Shawnee, Kansas, and Mrs. Caroline YOUNGER of Eugene, Oregon; 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Also seven brothers, Alvie ROSS of Spavinaw, Floyd ROSS of Wagoner, Alvin and Jess ROSS of Stockton, Calif., Hollis WEAVER of Westville, Paul and Doyle of Montana; three sisters, Mrs. Willie DANIELS of Wagoner, Mrs. Paulean HUDDLESTON of Peggs, Mrs. Emma WILSON of San Jose, Calif.
Burial was in the Westville Cemetery under the direction of the Roberts Funeral Home.
