North - Mrs. Matilda Harley Thomas, 92, widow of Henry Berry Thomas, died Friday at her residence. The funeral will be 5 p.m. Sunday at the graveside, Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, directed Dukes-Harley Funeral Home. Mrs. Thomas was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Franklin Harley and Mrs. Frances Amaker Harley. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Surviving are: five daughters, Mrs. A. Hanson Joyner and Miss Janie Thomas, both of North, Mrs. Jake Zeigler of Orangeburg, Mrs. B. H. Odom Jr. of Augusta and Mrs. G. F. Bentley of Atlana; three sons, Clinton Thomas and Ithiel Thomas, both of Cayce, and H. B. Thomas Jr. of Florida; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchildren.
