Roy's first marriage was with Abbie Zerleen Davis (1894-1919) on 11 May 1913 in Houston Texas. They had one son, R. R. Royall IV, who was a Captain in the Air Force during WW II. He was killed in action in the Battle of the Coral Sea on 10 May 1942.
Roy's second wife was Gladys Leaman (1898-1977). They were married on 14 September 1922 in Houston, Texas. They had one son.
The descendants of Richard Royster Royall (1798-1840) are indebted to Richard Royster Royall III for the Royall history which he printed and distributed to family members on 4 August 1962. Also the family is very grateful to family members who surrendered and contributed documents and letters to make Roy's research as complete as possible.
