Heavenly Father called Frances Jane (Weatherill) Jackson 49, back to Heaven on Sunday, May 4, 1997. She passed away peacefully at home, after her valiant fight against brain cancer.

Fran was born March 29, 1948 in Los Angeles, California to Robert G. and Nancy Flo (Tauchen) Weatherill. She graduated from Pomona High School where she was a cheer leader and attended Mt. San Antonio College and Brigham Young University in Nursing. She married Richard Eldon Jackson July 12, 1968 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. She had been active in PTA, BSA, Church and community programs of all types. She was serving as the secretary to the T.H. Bell and South Ogden Jr. High LDS Seminaries at the time of her death. She was a member of the Washington Terrace 4th LDS Ward and had served in many callings including Primary presidency, Young Women presidency, Stake relief society board, and for the last three years as the Ward relief society president.

She loved sewing, family history, homemaking and especially music and singing. She loved being with her family and she is a beautiful mother of six children and one grandchild who love and honor her name.

Fran was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gordon P. and Jeanie (Millar) Weatherill, and Arthur and Alice Louise (Lawler) Tauchen. She is survived by her husband, Richard Eldon Jackson of Washington Terrace; six children; her parents; two sisters; and her loveable little granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday noon to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

Fran and her family express their heart felt thanks for the many visitors, flowers, cards and love shown to Fran and her family during these last four trying months. May our Heavenly Father and loved ones beyond, welcome her into their loving arms and keep her in peace until we meet again.
