A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 8 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Anoka. A committal service will be held at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
He was born on May 12, 1934 in Stephen, to Sullivan Troska and Lillie Kurowski Troska.
He graduated in 1953 from Minnesota Northwest School of Agriculture in Crookston. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 – 1960. He retired as a USDA Inspector in 1989. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. He was a member of the VFW and NARFE. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, making gifts for family members and collecting toy tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Troska of Bella Vista, Ark.; four sons, Keith (Lois) Troska of Anoka, Kevin (Michelle) Troska of Moncks Corner, S.C., Shawn (Debbie) Troska of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Brian Troska and special friend, Mary Jo of Baldwin, Wis.; two brothers, Roger (Bonnie) Troska of Inver Grove Heights, Paul (Nancy) Troska of Reno, Nev.; two sisters, Marguerite Jadeke of Warren, Ardyce Riggs of Fayetteville, Ark.; six grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren;
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Adelle and brother, Harvey.
