Frances Rachael Munsell Leatherman, 86, longtime Fowler resident, died April 25, 2011 in Roswell, NM where she had resided for the last several years. She was born on September 25, 1924 in Carson, NM. She was married to Howard Munsell and they made their home in the White Rock community south of Fowler for many years until his death in 2000. She was later married to James Leatherman and they lived in Roswell, NM. She is survived by her husband, one daughter; Lynn Heikes of Fowler, two grandchildren; Sharon Heikes of Colorado Springs and David Heikes of Fowler, three great grandchildren; Miceala Camacho and David and Anthony Andrews, two sisters; Ruby Chavez of Taos, NM and Elsie Ryan of California and one brother; Billy Drake of Socorro, NM. She is preceded in death by her parents; Horace and Hester Drake, and siblings; Olene Jones, James Drake, Leona Walker, Louise Boatman and four siblings in infancy. She was a faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. A graveside service was held at the Fowler Cemetery on Tuesday. Arrangements were made with Griffy Family Funeral Home in Fowler.
