HOUSTON - Annie Sue Bennett Turman, 83, died Monday, March 30, 2009, at her home. She was born April 15, 1925, in Smithville to Columbus Beeson Bennett and Francis Kelly Bennett. She was a homemaker and a member of Houston First Pentecostal Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Houston First Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Charles Flake and the Rev. Kenneth Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Chickasaw Memorial Gardens in Houston. Houston Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a special nephew, Walter Turman and Hilda of Nesbit; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Anna Gann of Houston and Francis Bennett Booker of West Point.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion H. "Dick" Turman; six brothers, Melvin Bennett, Elmer Bennett, Dallas Bennett, Elvin Bennett, L.W. Bennett and Robert Bennett; and four sisters, Loncia Barrett, Lonie Smith, Lillian Simpson and Lela Gilmore.

Pallbearers will be Matt Bennett, Ronnie Cole, Max Brassfield, Heath Soden, Derrick Vance and Jeff Flake.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Houston First Pentecostal Church.
