E.F. HALLECK [sic] DEAD.

Denver Capitalist Expires at All
Saints' Hospital After Weeks
of Suffering.

Erastus F. Halleck, a well known Denver capitalist, died yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at All Saints' hospital of kidney disease. He went to Excelsior Springs, Missouri, six weeks ago, hoping for relief. He failed rapidly and was brought to Kansas City three weeks ago.

Dr. J.P. Jackson attended Mr. Halleck and pronounced his disease incurable as soon as he diagnosed the case. Mrs. Halleck had been at her husband's bedside constantly since he was taken to the hospital. His death had been expected at any moment during the past two weeks, but his remarkable constitution preserved his life beyond the expectation of the attending physician. Saturday night he became unconscious and remained so until his death.

Mr. Halleck was born May 30, 1829. He was one of the wealthiest men in Denver. The remains were taken to Denver on the 7:30 Union Pacific train last night.
