Norman Clifton "Cliff" Burch, Sr. - Age 84, a native and longtime of Mobile, died Monday, March 23, 2009, in a local hospital. Mr. Burch was a U.S. Navy, WWII veteran serving in the Pacific. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, and retired from Alabama Dry Docks and White-Spunner Construction Company. Mr. Burch was preceded in death by his son, Charles Hendrix Burch, II. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Rosemary B. Burch; his son, Norman Clifton Burch, Jr. (Suzanne) of Maysville, KY; his daughter, Patricia Burch McCrory (Bruce) of Mobile; five grandchildren, Mary Lee McCrory, Courtney Burch, Alex Burch, Angela Benson, and Chip Burch; his brother, S. Bernard Burch (Lynette); three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 6101 Grelot Rd., Mobile, AL 36609.
