"Major Henry E. Mitchell was detailed to the R.O.T.C. the latter part of November, 1920, after being relieved of his duty in Washington. A graduate of West Point, and obtaining his second lieutenancy with the Class of 1902, he served with the Second, Eight, Ninth and Seventh Cavalry. During the World War, he saw much active service, chiefly as colonel in the tanks corps. He was in the British forces on the British front. Warren William Mitchell born 24 Jun 1920 Baltimore, Maryland died Apr 1964 Honolulu, Hawaii married Anna Douglass Batten 11 May 1921 Honolulu, Hawaii died 1 Jul 2003 Kaneohe, Honolulu, Hawaii; with issue.

James Vickers Mitchell born 31 Dec 1923 Marleybone, London, England died in the World War 15 Jun 1944 buried 14 Feb 1949 Honolulu, HI at National Memorial Cemetery of The Pacific - Section M Site 517

Both Warren and James served their county in the military carrying on a tradition of service since the Revolutionary War.
