Ottawa---John Buford Anderson, 99, Ottawa, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at an Ottawa retirement community.

Mr. Anderson was a farmer and stockman in the Ottawa area.

He was born Nov. 2, 1903, in Odessa, Mo., the son of William Sidney and Emma Mary Anson Anderson.

He married Bessie Mabel Landes on May 3, 1954, in Taos, N.M. She died Jan. 9, 1993. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Dona Jackson.

Survivors include a daughter, Dixie Mummert, Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the 15th Street Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Ottawa. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until service time at the Church. Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home in Ottawa is in charge of arrangements.
