Mr. Perry R. Collins, a widely known and prosperous farmer of the Belair community, died at his home there Friday night after an illness of only a day or two. He was seventy-two years old and a veteran of the Confederate army. He was a native of Lancaster county. For more than forty years he had been a member of the Methodist church. He was married about fifty years ago and his wife and seventeen children survive. He also leaves several brothers and sisters. The funeral and burial were at Belair Methodist church Sunday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. W. M. Harden.
