He married twice. His first wife was Minnie (Richards), who preceded him in death. He later married May Price, of Atlanta, GA. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Delbert and Clarence (1906), both Celina; a brother, Fred, Canada; and a sister, Estelle Cooper, Colorado.
He owned and operated the St. Marys Fertilizer plant from 1919 to 1943. He was a member of the Baptist Church in St. Marys.
Funeral services were in Vales Funeral Home, Celina, with Rev. Delbert Pummell officiating.
