Chester Larkin, 86, of West Frankfort died Monday at American Beauty Nursing Home. He was born on April 10, 1897 in Sullivan, the son of William and Rhoda (Allison) Larkin. He was a retired coal miner. He is survived by his wife, Anna, of the home; sons, Wilbur Larkin of Benton and Cleo Larkin of Lincoln Park, Michigan; daughter, Eva Key of Marion; step-daughters, Oma Shifflett, Ialliean Coulture, and Vivian Terry; sister, Flossie Allen of West Frankfort; forty grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Union Funeral Home with Sister Ruth Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Tower Heights Cemetery.
