From the Middlebury Register, Oct. 19, 1917:
West Salisbury - Mrs. Caro Noyes Cornell, wife of the Rev. George C. Cornell, died suddenly at her home in Panton Sunday morning following the birth of a son on Friday. Mrs. Cornell was born in Salisbury June 9, 1887. She was a graduate of Troy Conference Academy, Poultney, and attended Middlebury College 1910-12, later being a teacher in the surrounding towns. September 12, 1912 she was married to the Rev. G.C. Cornell, then of Monkton, who with an infant son survive, also her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Noyes, three sisters and four brothers. The funeral was held Tuesday in Panton, the Rev. B.M. Kent of Burlington officiating, with burial in Middlebury.
