Devoted husband for 62 years of Ada O. Ball of Placerville. Beloved father of Laura (Richard, Jr.) Griffin of Reno, NV and Patricia Long of Santa Rosa, CA. Adored grandfather of James (Becky) Murphy, Sean Murphy and Julia Williams. Beloved great-grandfather of Ayden and Wyatt Murphy.

A native of CA. Age 90 years. Mr. Ball served as a 1st Lt. in the US Army during World War II. A member of Free & Accepted Masons of California, Placerville Lodge #26, Scottish Rite of Free Masonry Valley of Sacramento Orient of California, American Legion, Placerville Post 0119, Sons In Retirement, Hangtown Branch No. 29; and E.Clampus Vitus #49, James W. Marshall Chapter.

Mr. Ball held the distinction of being the first CHP Officer in CA to facilitate the study for a substation (Lake Valley) and then return to command that station from 1958-74.

Private family services have been held. The family prefers memorial contributions to the Shiner's Children's Hospital or your local veteran's organization in his memory.
