Machinist Mate First Class James Bateman was reburied at Arlington after the War on March 10, 1948.

The family has photos of the reburial service showing a long line of caissons in a re-burial ceremony for several WW II casualties on that day.

James Bateman's parents are also interred at Arlington (see Links). James had eight siblings: Alice, Joseph, Kathleen, Adele, Mable, Rose, Georgia and Lola
