John "Scott" Worthen, 81, of Pima, passed away July 11, 2015, at home after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife and family. Scott was born Sept. 13, 1933, in Panguitch, Utah, to La-Mar and Clara "Giles" Worthen.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. In younger years, he had a passion for ranching and antiques. This took him all over. He enjoyed the swap meets, where he met and enjoyed people.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jerry Worthen; a niece, LaRay Nay; a nephew, Terry Nay; and brothers-in-law Marvin Skoguard, Jr. Nay and Freeman Moss; a stepdaughter, Patty Hill; and one grandchild.

Special thanks to his grandson, Danny, and his wife, Venessa, who came from Northern California to take loving care of Grandpa. They were a godsend. Scott's best friend, Brent Kempton, has helped the family so much through this terrible time.

Scott leaves behind his loving wife of 28 years, Belva; eight children; and 19 grandchildren; sisters, Maureen Skoguard, of Las Vegas; Karen Nay, of Idaho; and Etta (Steve) Stevens, of Salt Lake.

Dad Scott is loved and will be greatly missed.
