Mrs. Clara Powell Haynes,80, of 27845 Lincoln Road, Bay Villiage, Ohio, was pronounced dead on arrival at Bayview Hospital Monday at 8:45 p.m. after suffering an apparent heart attack at home.

She was born February 11, 1895, in East Liverpool, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hackathorn.

Before moving to Bay Village in 1966, she had worked at the Hall China Company and was a member of the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church here. She also was a member of the Old Stone United Presbyterian Church in Cleveland.

Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her first husband, William Powell, and in 1966 by her second husband, Frank Haynes.

Survivors include a daughter, Miss Wilma Powell, with whom she resided, a brother, James Hackathorn of Baldwin Park, Calif., and a stepsister, Mrs. Jane Toat of Windsor Heights, West Virginia.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Loper of the Emmanuel Prebyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and night.
