He was born August 20, 1921 in Monroe, Utah to Joseph Henry and Elin Lovis Anderson Jenson.
He married Mae Eliza Hodson on September 26, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple. She preceded him in death on April 3, 2003.
He was a dairy farmer in Marion, Utah for many years. Involved in the irrigation and canal company. He taught high school courses of industrial arts and math. He was a member of the LDS Church and served in numerous callings, including bishop and a bishop's counselor. He was also an ordinance worker in the Manti Temple. He was the perfect grandpa.
He is survived by children: Ellen Mae (Paul) Johnson, West Valley; Melvin McKay (Sheila) Jenson, Richfield; Meredith D. (Pamela) Jenson, Mesa, AZ; Mark L. (Marilyn) Jenson, Allen, TX; Margaret (Robert) Schuck, Findlay, OH; 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by parents; wife; daughter, Marilyn J. Whiting, and all his siblings.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 12:00 Noon in the Monroe First Ward Chapel (50 East 200 North, Monroe). Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary (50 South 100 West, Richfield) on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again on Saturday at the Ward Chapel from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Interment will be in the Monroe City Cemetery with Full Military Rites accorded by the Monroe American Legion Post #37.
