Rites Arranged for Veterans' Ex-Leader
SAN FRANCISCO, March 23. - Final rites will be held Monday morning for Fred Bates, 38, who died of pneumonia at the Fort Miley Veteran Hospital. He was Past Senior Vice-Commander of the State Department of Disabled American Veterans of the World War and Post Commander of Oakland Post No. 7. He is survived by a wife and two small children.
Services will be from parlors at 1143 Sutter Street at 9 o'clock.
