Graveside services for Edward Lee Cauley, 74, were held Tuesday, March 24, at the DFW National Cemetery in Grand Prairie. Mr. Cauley died Friday, March 20, 2009, at Hospice of East Texas in Tyler.
He was born August 22, 1934, in New Braunfels, to John Dave and Emma Poggenpohl Cauley. He met and married Martha Miszak in Casa Blanca, Africa, on January 14, 1956. They were married 53 years in January. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
Survivors include his wife of Emory; son, John Edward Cauley and wife Lauri of San Antonio; daughter, Pollyanna Cauley Bearden and husband John of Rowlett; sister, Anna Christmas of DeSoto; grandchildren, Cody and Rachel Cauley, Ilayee, Justin and John Bearden; niece, Holly Walters; and numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
