William F Funk, 59, Brewster, died Saturday at the local hospital following a sudden illness.

Mr. Funk was born Jan. 25, 1920, at Ellensburg, and his family later moved to the Snohomish areas where he attended schools.

During World War II, he served in the Army. Following his discharge, he was associated wit his brothers in a logging business in the Snohomish area. Later, he did contract blasting.

In December 1978, he moved to Brewster, where he owned and operated a farm, and on Jan 25, 1979, was married to Charlean Lyons.

Mr. Funk was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Charlean, at home; three daughters, Annetta McNeil of Snohomish, Margaret Skoglund of Sultan, and Jan Chard of Everett; his mother, Alta Funk, Everett; a brother, Alfred, Ocean Shores, two sisters, Arlean Allenback, Gillette, Wyo., and Louella Little, Bremerton; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be conducted Thursday at 1 pm from the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Luther Allen officiating. Services will conclude at the church under direction of Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
