Susan was the wife of Justus J. Brock

She was the daughter of William F. and Margaret (Ellington) Cottrell

Justus and Susan were my great great great Grandparents.

Obituary
Mrs. Susan Brock died at Ripley, Okla., Sept. 2, 1916, of paralysis, at the age of 85 years, 2 mos. and 24 days.

Susan Cotrell was born June 8, 1831, in McLean County, Illinois. April1, 1851, she was united in marriage Justus Brock and in 1867 they moved to Linn County, Kansas and bought a home four miles southwest of Mound City, where they lived several years before moving to Prescott, Kansas. In 1891 they moved to Oklahoma where Mr. Brock died Oct.28, 1902. To this union nine children were born-five of who preceeeded her in death. Those living are F.N.Brock, Center Point, Ark. C.A. Brock, Kansas City, Ben Brock, Sanagals, Texas and Mrs. J.H. Clary, with whom she made her home at the time of her death. Oakdale Cemetery Those attending from a distance were: Roaten Clary, of Tulsa, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. O.C. Armstrong, of Chandler, Okla. Mr. and Mrs. Brewer, of Sapulpa, Okla., and Mrs. John O'Hara and Mrs Rettie Brock, of Blue Mound, Kansas. Linn County Historical Society
