WEDDING BELLS

ENDORF— ACHTERBERG

Miss Mollie Endorf, daughter of Mr. Herman Endorf of Tobias, and Mr. Ernest Achterberg, son of Mr. William Achterberg of Hebron, were united in marriage Sunday evening, April 27, at 7:30 In Zion Lutheran Church at Tobias. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Pastor E. G. Winckler in the presence of relatives and friends. Bouquets of daffodils and gladioli adorned the altar and chancel of the church.

Mrs. Harold Jordening of Tobias played a prelude of organ music preceding the ceremony. She also played the wedding marches and accompanied a quartet which sang "The Lord Is My Shepherd" and a trio which sang "The Lord's Pray er." The quartet was composed of the Misess (sic) Ruth Nielsen, Jeanette Endorf and Helen Wamboldt of Tobias and Miss Lucinda Bartels of Seward while the altter (sic) three sang in the trio.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Carl Endorf of Lincoln, wore a floor-length gown of white nylon with fitted bodice and square neckline trimmed with lace. The full skirt was also trimmed with lace. Her double-tiered shoulder-length veil fell from a net illusion cap. She carried a colonial bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

The bride's only attendant was her cousin, Miss Lela Bartels of Seward. Her floor-length gown was of blue nylon. She wore a corsage of pink roses.

Albert Achterberg of Hebron attended his brother as best man. Ushers were Herman and Gerald Endorf of Tobias, brothers of the bride.

Following the ceremony a reception was given for relatives and friends in the bride's home, where an enjoyable evening was spent at visiting and playing cards. Lunch was served. The bride's table was centered with a beautiful wedding cake topped with two white bells. On either side of the cake were bouquets of gladioli and lighted white tapers in two-branched candelabra.

Miss Lucinda Bartels was in charge of the guest book.

The bride and groom will make their home on the groom's farm three miles northeast of Deshler.
