He was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church, Besancon; the Holy Name Society and the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Barclay, R. R. #2, Monroeville; four sons, Leonard J., Nolan and Merlin, all of Fort Wayne, and Andrew, Yoder; three brothers, Joseph L. and Sherman, Fort Wayne, and Henry E., New Haven; a sister, Mrs. Rose Ryan, Fort Wayne; 24 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Marquardt Funeral Home, Monroeville, after 7:30 p.m. today. The Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8pm in the funeral home. Services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home and at 9:30 in St. Louis Catholic Church, Rev. Andrew Mathieu officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
