She married William B Werden, 06 June 1894 in Lake Co., Ill, born Feb 1870 in Il.
According to the 1900 census William and Emma and their daughter 5-year-old Esther were living at 446 Cuyler Avenue, Lake View, Chicago. William's occupation was an iron and steel salesman. The census info shows that Emma had given birth to 2 children by 1900, only one of which was still living.
On the 1910 census William, Emma, Esther and Ella were still living in Cuyler Ave., Lake View. William was an office worker.

MRS EMA WERDEN, 87, DIES AT DAUGHTER'S HOME
Mrs Ema Besley Werden, 87, died Friday evening at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs L.J. Stevenson, (Ellyn Sylvia) of 1441 South Shore Drive.
Mrs Werden came to make her home with the Stevensons two years ago having been a resident of Evanston, Ill. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs R.L. Barney (Esther) of Evanston and Mrs L.J. Stevenson: two grandchildren, John R. Barney of Glenview, Ill. and Mrs Donald F. Urban of Royal Oak, Michigan: two great grandchildren: one sister, Mrs William G. Strong (Jane?) of Champagne, Ill.
Her brother the late Frederic Atwood, a noted surgeon, founded the Waukegan Besley Clinic and served as the president of the American College of Surgeons in 1938.
Mrs Werden reposes at the Nibbelink-Notier Funeral Chapel until Tuesday morning when she will be taken to the Oakwood cemetery in Waukegan for services at 11 am.
The family requests that those who might send flowers contribute to the Grace Episcopal Church in the memory of Mrs William B. Werden.
