Virginia Ahring, 49, of Collinsville was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland, at 11 p.m. Friday. She had had a lengthy illness.
Miss Ahring was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Collinsville, a daughter of the late Oscar and Frances Ashauer Ahring. She is survived by four aunts, two uncles and cousins.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Marine.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and after 6 p.m. Monday in the Halleman Funeral Home, Marine.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Untied Church of Christ, Marine, with Rev. Roy Griebel officiating.
Burial will be in Marine Cemetery.
