Rosa Lee Manley Mason Dodd was born on 18 Jan 1880 in Bedford County, Virginia, daughter of George W. Manely (CSA) and Mollie Elizabeth Oliver. Rosa married Henry T. Mason and raised 8 of her own children and Henry's daughter from his first marriage. After Henry's death in 1917, Rosa moved to Nelson County, Virginia to be closer to several of her daughters who had married and moved to the Schuyler area. Rosa married James M. Dodd, who was a native of Nelson County. Rosa died in Schuyler on 19 Dec 1940 and was buried at Hunting Creek Baptist Church on 20 Dec 1940. Her grave at the church is unmarked, but her death certificate and the cemetery records at the church verify this information. Rosa and Henry Mason are my great great grandparents.
