DRAGGED TO DEATH
Finis Rowden of Van, Polk Co, experienced an awful death last Wed. He had been over toward Schofield buying furs and was returning home in a buggy. It is supposed he was intoxicated for he fell from the buggy, became entangled in the lines or some way and was dragged 3/4 mile before being dropped. He was found with practically no clothes on, part of his skull and shoulder gone and died shortly after. Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery at Springfield at 11:00 a.m.
