Lucy Ann "Margaret" (Mayhue) Hale, Dollahon (1839-1878);
She was the daughter of Francis & Recordus Mayhue, in the 1850 census for North Carolina.
On 19, Oct 1862, Lucy Ann Margaret Mayhue married John R Hale. (Her full name was recorded on the marriage record to John R. Hale; I have a picture).
She was the 1st wife of George Franklin Dollahon, they were married on July 31, 1865, Margaret had a Stepson Charles T. Hale age 8, and at the time of their marriage (his parents were John R. Hale and Elizabeth, recorded in the 1860 census.) In the 1870 census it shows that George's father, Daniel Christopher Dollahon (who had been widowed in 1866) and his youngest brother Henry L. Dollahon age 13, were living at Claremont, Richland, Illinois, with Margaret and George and that their first born child Henry Franklin Dollahon, he was age one and Charles T. Hale was age 13.
To their marriage were born 6 children 4 sons and 2 daughters.
Margaret gave birth to twin sons Brise & Bruse who were born October 1, 1878. She died October 6, 1878, at the age of 38 years 10 months and 23 days, 6 days after the birth of their twin sons. Brise died on October 25, 1878 and Bruse died on October 30, 1878. George was 37 and left with 4 children, Henry 10, Margaret "Eva" 7, Jerome 5, and Mary Kathleen "Kate" age 3.
