Lifelong Resident, James A. Peck, Dies

James A Peck, 3 Winfield Ave., a nephew of the late Jimmy Burns of Cripple Creek mining fame and a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, died, at 65, at a local hospital this morning. He had been ill for three weeks.

Mr. Peck was a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and was a veteran of both World War I and World War II. In World War I he served overseas in the Army. In World War II he was in the Air Force. He held the rank of major and was stationed at the ordinance base in Pueblo for two years. He was a member of St. Paul’s Church in Broadmoor.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Peck; four sons, James Arthur Peck, Colorado Springs, Martin Frank Peck, who is in the service and stationed at Fort Jackson, S.C., and Richard and Michael Peck, both of Colorado Springs,; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Conrad, Denver, and Mrs. Robert Hoffman, Lebanon, Ind., and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral Arrangements have not been completed.
