Agnes L. Giesen. A Mass of Christian burial for Agnes L. Giesen, 88, who died in a Rapid City hospital Saturday morning, is scheduled Tuesday 9 a.m. at the Church of St. John the Evangelist with Rev. Ralph Muldoon officiating. A Christian wake service is scheduled Monday 7:30 p.m. at the Osheim-Catron Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Giesen was born Dec. 24, 1885 in Germany. She moved to Canada at the age of 8. She married John Giesen there in 1913. The couple later moved to the United States. They resided at Stickney for 17 years, moving to Rapid City in 1941. Mrs. Giesen was a member of the VFW Auxilliary and the Royal Neighbors of America. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1954. Survivors include a son, George, Burbank, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Florence Rippentrop, Rapid City; four grandchildren, including Ronald Rippentrop, Rapid City; and one great-granddaughter.
