Lester E. Haskell, 74, of 2535 South 11th Street, a retired painting contractor, died last night in a local hospital. He had been hospitalized for about a month and had been in failing health since last November. Haskell was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and had lived here since 1911. He retired 8 years ago. He was the father of Everett Haskell, who died March 17th. Haskell is survived by his widow Alta; 2 other sons, Ernest E. and Vernon C. Haskell of Fresno; 2 daughters, Mrs. Pearl Thull of Fresno and Mrs. Esther Hansen of Los Angeles; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mable Raine and Mrs. Opal Pierce of Argonia, Kansas; 9 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be announced by the C. Harry Palm Funeral Service.
