VIRGINIA BOLTON

Ms. Virginia Sue Bolton, 84, of Barbourville, passed away Wednesday morning, March 11, 2009 in the Knox County Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Alford Green and Retta Regina Lambert Bolton born on December 9, 1924 in Barbourville.
Ms. Bolton was a former clerk at various businesses in downtown Barbourville through the years and was a member of the First Christian Church of Barbourville. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bert and James Bolton and wife, Sallie, and a half-brother, John Tuggle Bolton.
Survivors include her sister, Billie Bolton of Barbourville; a niece, Barbara Mattingly and husband, Shane, of London; a special great niece, Sherry Gray of London; a sister-in-law, Wanda Bolton of London; among other loved ones and friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, March 14 at 2 P.M. With Rev. Geral Wells officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends. Honorary bearers will be Dr. Warren, Dr. West and the staff of the Knox County Home Health.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday after 12 noon until the funeral hour at 2 P.M.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
