"Carrie D. Eichelberger, 93, of United Zion Home, 722 Furnace Hill Pike, Lititz, formerly of Neffsville, died late Sunday evening at the nursing home, where she had been a resident for five years. She was the wife of the late Walter B. Eichelberger, who died in 1952. Mrs. Eichelberger was employed for 25 years by her son, Bard Eichelberger, working in his greenhouse business in Neffsville. A member of Long Memorial Methodist Church, Neffsville, she was also a member of the auxiliary of the Neffsville Fire Company. Born in the village of Oregon, she was a daughter of the late Sylvanus and Ellen Dussinger Bard. Surviving are four sons: W. Bard, Lititz R3; Robert L., Neffsville; Melvin P., Lititz; and Herbert R., Conestoga; one daughter, Alta A., wife of Robert G. Rummel, Lancaster; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren."
