Matthew Cochran is the son of David N. and Mary Elizabeth Rickard (sp?).

MATTHEW COCHRAN, OF ELK RUN AVE., DIED WEDNESDAY EVENING. Deceased Was Born and Reared in Coolspring. Was Successful Farmer.
FUNERAL SERVICES ON SATURDAY. Matthew Cochran, a lifelong resident of Jefferson county, died at his home on Elk Run avenue Wednesday evening of pneumonia at the age of 76 years. He was born in Coolspring a son of Mr. and Mrs. David Cochran, and was marrried 50 years ago to Miss Barbara Reitz. Until six years ago he was a successful farmer in the county, when he retired and came to this city. Thru-out his long life the deceased, by his honesty, industry and kindliness, had made friends who deeply mourn his death. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. He is survived by his widow and the following sons and daughters; James Cochran of Troutville; Clarence of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Miss Nettie Cochran at home. Two sisters and two brothers also survive: Mrs. Clarence Snyder, of Brookville, Mrs. P. S. Evans of Copenish, Mich.; Alec Cochran, of Coolspring, and James of Sheffield. Funeral services will be held in the Oliveburg church Saturday afternoon, the funeral cortege leaving the home at 2:30. Interment in the Oliveburg cemetery.
