He was born Aug. 9, 1933, to Herman and Marie (Nutt) White at Mount Vernon, Texas, where he grew up and received his education.
He served in the U.S. Army for two years. He worked for Allen Cannery in Texas before his marriage to Fannie Orman on April 10, 1979, in Tennessee.
Mr. White worked as a custodian for a school district in Texas, and drove school bus for many years.
He moved to Wenatchee last year to be near his family.
He is survived by his wife of the home; two brothers, Patrick of Austin, Texas, and Lex of Mesquite, Texas; two stepsons, Jerry and Terry Edmondson, both of Wenatchee; and four stepdaughters, Doris McMinn of Finley, and Mary McMinn, Frances Skelton and Janice Bainard, all of Wenatchee.
