Death of Rev Gahre

Rev F. G. Gahre was born in Hamilton, Ohio, May 10th, 1885, and came to Glenvil with his parents in 1891, attending the public schools until 1902 when he entered the University of Columbus, Ohio graduating in 1907. In the same year he entered the theological seminery (sic) and graduated in 1910, when he entered the ministry in the Lutheran church. His last congregation was at Wamego, Kansas. After a long and severe sickness he passed away at St Luke hospital in Kansas City on January 11, 1916, at the age of 30 years, 8 months and 1 day.

He leaves to mourn his untimely death his wife and one daughter, his parents, Rev and Mrs F W Gahre, four brothers and one sister, besides a large number of friends, The funeral was held in Glenvil. a number of fellow ministers were in attendance. The remains were laid to rest in the St Paul Lutheran cemetery.
