Hoyt Walters, 84, Pickens, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009, at his residence in Pick-ens. He was born April 24, 1924, in Pickens, the son of Jim and Berta (Axton) Walters.

Hoyt was a member of Pickens Holiness Church. Hoyt married Helen Wallace in Minden, Nev., on June 7, 1947. He enjoyed ranching, hog hunting and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by both his father and mother; four sisters, Altha Baggs, Ruby Baggs, Irene Crawford and Gracie Sheffield; three brothers, Claude, Charlie and Alford Walters.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the Battiest Cafeto-rium, Battiest. Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Be-thel.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Brumley Chapel, Broken Bow.
