CHARLES B. NIBLICK ANSWERS SUMMONS

Charles Bruce Niblick, 89, native of Adams county who had spent the greater part of his life in Wells county, died at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Grace hospital at Fort Wayne of complications that followed the fracture of a hip four months ago.

He followed the occupation of farming during the active years of his life and had resided in Wells county until five years ago, since which time he had made his home in Fort Wayne. He was a member of the United Brethren church of Craigville.

He was born March 18, 1856, a son of Robert and Catherine Hartman Niblick. His marriage was to Ellen Clark in 1880. Her death occurred in 1917.

Surviving are four sons, Robert of Bluffton, Ross of Wells county, Charles of Fort Wayne and Vernon Niblick of Decatur; five daughters, Mrs. Ervin Breinel, of Angola, Mrs. Edward Shoe and Mrs. Joe Coffee and Mrs. James Garner, all of Decatur, and Mrs. Merle Ogg, of Fort Wayne; a brother, Charles [sic]Niblick of Montpelier, and a sister, Mrs. Belle Friesner, of Pasadena Calif.

Two brothers, James and Harvey Niblick, and a sister, Mrs. James Whiteside, are deceased.

The body was removed to the Thomas & Son funeral home here and will remain there for funeral services at the Thoma Chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, in charge of Rev. Virgil Snyder, of Craigville. Burial will be in the Oakland cemetery near Craigville.
