WINSLOW R. TRACY

JONESPORT - Winslow R. Tracy, 83, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at a Jonesport health care facility. He was born July 23, 1924, in Machias, the son of the late Clifford H. and Rachael (Reynolds) Tracy. Mr. Tracy worked for many years at area sardine factories and was promoted to plant manager before retirement. He loved basketball, following the local teams all over the state. He enjoyed new life when it was brought in front of him with recent births in the family. He shared 50 years of marriage with the late Viola A. Alley, who died in 2006. Family members include a sister, Marie Besancon and husband, Fred, of Otis, Mass.; a very close friend, Betty Crow-ley of Beals; a half brother, Newman Thompson; several half nieces and half nephews. Services will he held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Sawyer Memorial Congregational Church, Jonesport, with Pastor George Woodward officiating. Relatives and friends may call noon until the hour of service Wednesday at the church. Burial will be after at Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport. Arrangements are entrusted to Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Machias.
