F.C. BARNHILL DEAD
Funeral of Well Known Farmer Sunday Afternoon
Fred C. Barnhill, 56, prominent farmer of six miles northwest of Ottawa, died last night at 7 o’clock in University of Kansas hospital, Kansas City. He had been ill 10 days, death resulting from cerebral thrombosis.
Mr. Barnhill was born in Indiana August 23, 1879, the son of Robert and Joanna (Constantine) Barnhill. He was married to Jessie Lyle December 31, 1904 in Miami county, Kansas. The widow, three brothers, John Barnhill, Ypsilanti Mich., Omar Barnhill, Topeka, and Bernal Barnhill, Paola, survive. Mr. Barnhill, who had lived most of his life in Miami county, came here 18 years ago. He was a member of the United Brethren church.
The body was brought to the Lamb Funeral Home. A short service is to be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at the Barnhill home, with Rev. William I. Hastie of the First Methodist church officiating. The funeral party will then go to Miami county for burial
