Jason Vance Amos, 12-year-old son of Jay W. Amos, Rural Platte City, died Friday at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He was a lifelong area resident. Jason was a sixth-grade student at Platte City Middle School. He played baseball in the Mid-Continent Association and played basketball in the Platte County Sports Inc. League. He also leaves a brother, Ronnie Amos, St. Joseph; a twin sister, Joylyn Amos of the home; his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Amos, Tracy in Platte County; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Helen Breshears, Bolivar, MO. Services will be at 2 PM Sunday at First Christian Church, Platte City; burial in Platte City Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8 PM today at the Rollins Chapel, Platte City. The family suggests contributions to the Platte County Sports Inc. League.
