Mrs. Ethel (Sutton) Grannell, 90, of Church St., Smithfield, died Sunday in Uniontown Hospital.
She was the oldest living member of the Mount Moriah Baptist Church and belonged to the Burdett Sunday School Class.
Born in Nicholson Twp. she was the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Sarah [Sabra] Sturgis Sutton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Grannell in September 1933.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Miller of Chevy Chase, Md., and Mrs. John Louise Phillians of Smithfield; one son, C. Andrew Grannell of District Heights, Md.; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mable Costello of Greensburg.
The family will receive friends in the John F. Brownfield Funeral Home, Smithfield from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 11 a.m. Wednesday, the hour of service with Rev. Nelson Krute officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery.
